Check out this story about a couple that drove over an hour with a spitting cobra in their car. The snake wrapped itself around the man's leg while he was driving!!!! He just kept on driving, saying later, "Fortunately, I'm not the panicky type."

I read that the Black Mamba is the fastest snake, at 12 miles per hour. So, the Spitting Cobra is no faster, and that cunning serpent traveled 100 miles in a couple hours with little effort - what would have taken it (I'm guessing) about 10 hours at top speed!
